Smokey Robinson New Album Will Give You ‘Gasms’
Fans of Mr. Green Eyes can make room on your Smooth R&B Playlist for new music off of Smokey Robinson‘s latest album ‘Gasms.’
You’re probably thinking, alright now Smokey, behave yourself. But with track titles like “I Wanna Know Your Body”, “I Fit In There” and “I Wanna Fill You Up”, the 82-year-old is more inclined to show you ‘The Agony and Ecstasy’ of 2023. Robinson says he was very hands on with this project, penning six of the nine tracks and being intentional with the title.
“I did that to make it controversial.,” Robinson shared during his Cleavland.com interview. Many people, as they found out what the title is, they’ve been asking me what it is. I want people to hear it. You gotta get it. You gotta listen to it to see what “Gasms” is. All the songs have a connotation to them. You gotta hear it, man.”
The “Cruisin” singer is guaranteed to let you hear a few of those hits during his Spring Concert Tour. With only a few dates remaining before wrapping up on April 29 according to his Instagram.
Robinson recently visited the Sherri Show where he spoke more about the album. Check that out below. What’s your favorite Smokey album?
