R&B Forever Tour

Tank has cracked the code to creating an R&B universe and keeping that R&B Money flowing with back-to-back tours.

R&B Money & R&B Forever Tours

On the heels of the now completed and successful “R&B Money Tour” with Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas, which launched in New Orleans on May 10 and hit 25 cities, Tank has announced yet another soulful and even more electrifying follow-up to soon hit the road: “The R&B Forever Tour.”

The R&B Forever Tour

“The R&B Forever Tour,” produced by Global Event Productions Inc. and BMN Entertainment LLC, will mark the monumental reunion of the supergroup TGT, comprised of Tyrese Gibson, Ginuwine, and Tank. The Three Kings formed the supergroup in 2007 according to Vibe but, didn’t release a full album until 2013.

The sole album contained hit songs like “I Need” and “Sex Never Felt Better.” Unfortunately, the success of the group was short-lived once conversations about money and how to split it three ways came into play. During a TMZ interview, Tank let it slip that “Tyrese still doesn’t wanna split the money equally, so we’re done.”

Years later, in a candid interview on Tank’s “R&B Money Podcast” Tyrese took accountability for his role in the demise of the group.

“I didn’t even give neither one of them the heads up that I was gonna present my market share,” he revealed. “Without even getting into numbers ’cause that ain’t nobody’s business what the conversation was because I don’t do shows that often when I finally do shows, I’m able to demand a certain number.”

That demand for certain numbers didn’t go over too well with fellow group mates Ginuwine and Tank and ultimately disbanded the group. The split even prompted a few public back-and-forth exchanges from the men on social media. That “beef” and need for a one-on-one conversation took fans and followers by surprise. But nothing compared to the state of frenzy fans were in when watching the trio publicly mend their broken friendships and announce the band was officially back together.

Backstage after their October 2023 performance at the R&B Music Experience in Tampa, Florida, the video was shared via social media.

The trio confirmed  TGT is officially back and ready to bring their combined and individual hits to the stage on the forever tour. Ginuwine captioned the Instagram post:

“I knew it would happen I just want it to be perfect for each and every individual,” wrote Ginuwine. “We come together to say we are Kings so let’s move forward I appreciate the love we get now let’s go!!!! #TGT #uhooo #TankGTyrese ok it’s time ok Letsgo @therealtank and @tyrese my brothas for life.”

Tank also expressed his well wishes for both men individually and the group’s forever tour.

“All bullsh-t aside, all business aside, I love you brothers in real life,” Tank says in the video. “I want nothing but the best for all of us personally and I want nothing but the best for the R&B universe.”

The best is yet to come for these three who will co-headline the R&B Forever Tour with another successful trio – Bell Biv DeVoe. The group, known affectionately as BBD, consists of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe, and is a subset of the iconic R&B group out of Boston, Mass., New Edition.

Just last year Tank joined the mega-group as one of the special guests opening performers for the “New Edition 2023 Legacy Tour”. Now, this October, three of that group’s original members will share the spotlight with the “Before We Get Started” singer and two of his group mates.

BBD revolutionized the new jack swing movement, blending R&B, soul, and hip-hop for their timeless hits “Poison” and “Do Me.”

“Returning to the stage with new music and our classic hits is going to be an incredible experience for our fans and us,” said Bivins in a press release. Ginuwine also released a statement where he stated “reuniting with my brothers Tyrese and Tank is like coming home. We’re ready to bring the house down.”

The men will perform songs as a group and from their individual catalog. Both Tank and Tyrese have recent releases with Tyrese’s double album “Beautiful Pain” producing the Billboard Top Ten single, “Wildflower.”

Adding to the Forever Tour’s allure is SILK, the male R&B quintet renowned for sultry tracks like “Meeting in My Bedroom,” “Freak Me” and “Lose Control.” The group released their debut album, “Lose Control” , in 1992 and presently includes Johnathen “John John” Rasboro, Jimmy Gates, Jr., Timothy “Timzo” Cameron, and new members “Big G” and “Lil G,” Gary Glenn and Gary Jenkins.

The “R&B Forever Tour” is not just a TGT reunion or the follow up to The R&B Money Tour —I t’s a celebration of the music that has shaped us, lifted us, and brought this Urban AC Community together – Adult R&B. This is one we won’t want to miss.  In what city will you be seeing the show? Click here for tickets.
